Max mosley

dictator, tyrant, sado-masochist, sexual deviant, lawyer, politician, president of the FIA.........ladies and gentlemen... let me introduce you to Mr max oswald mosley......

a lot of people have varied opinions about Max. some hate him, others hate him even more. some argue that he has done more harm to the FIA than good.
some argue that he leaves behind a legacy of controversies, allegations, witch-hunts, personal vendettas etc. his handling of last years spygate controversy was severely panned by the media, so was his mishandling of the renault spy affair just 2 months later. they said that he was being unfair.(most of this media, mind you, was the british media who are no better than Mr mosley himself!!!!)

however there is another side to the story. Max was the guy under whose presidency we saw a whole host of safety initiatives being undertaken,(the record of 0 F1 driver deaths in the past 14 years bears testimony to this fact), F1 and indeed the FIA have become more global and the popularity of motorsports has never been higher. F1 races are the most watched sports events after some american annual 'football' match and the olympics.

in the midst of all this i feel, that max himself, with this controversy of 'nazi orgy', has effectively undone all that he has in his term as president. no matter what he says or does (suing a tabloid!!!!! how utterly ridiculous!) will reverse the shame that he has inflicted on the world of motorsports, and indeed himself.

so should he resign? that is the million dollar question.

i say, no!
from his view point, even if he resigns now, he will be ridiculed forever with his reputation(already) in pieces.

for him, the only way out is to take it on the chin and work to have a firm legacy of his (long) presidency.
starting with the project of making F1 more 'green', and making racing low cost and affordable.
if Max manages to do that his 'sins' will be, at least for me, washed away.

but if not, then its bye bye maxie!!!!!
I wonder what bernie has to say about all this!

Given, that Mosley had much to do about all the F1 initiatives, Ecclestone deserves more than a mention for the F1 reforms.
